Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data

Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information to provide services and goods are:

  • Consent – we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

How long we keep information

We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. The specific retention periods we apply are set out below.

Customer and booking records

We keep records relating to the services we have provided to you, including your name, contact details, address, and details about your dog(s), for 6 years following the end of our contractual relationship. This period reflects the limitation period under the Limitation Act 1980, during which a legal claim arising from our contract could be brought.

Financial and accounting records

Invoices, payment records, and other financial information are retained for 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year, as required by HMRC.

Enquiries and prospective customers

Where an enquiry does not result in a booking, we will retain your contact details for up to 12 months. After this period, your information will be securely deleted.

Deletion of your data

At the end of the applicable retention period, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised. You may also request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us using the details above. We will consider your request in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, and we will inform you if we are unable to fulfil it due to a legal obligation to retain the data.
